Dear Church Family,

Happy New Year! I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday filled with renewed hope and joy for 2023!  This Sunday we are worshiping at Southminster Presbyterian Church and it is my heartfelt hope that you will do everything you can to attend. If you need a ride please reach out to me. We want to eliminate any barriers preventing you from going with us. Following worship we are returning to our church (EGPC) to have lunch together and to share thoughts and reactions about our time at Southminster. This experience of having a field trip to another church is simply to give us more information and to help us as a community discern where God is leading us as a congregation. I ask that you try very hard to be open to the movement of the Holy Spirit, and know from the start that it will feel very different. We won’t be as comfortable as we are in our own sanctuary. There will be many other people that we don’t know. I will be with you and together we will hope for clarity of our hearts and minds.

In one of my devotions I read a scripture passage that spoke to me this morning so I will leave you with these words:

Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

New Year Blessings,
Pastor Barbara

Questions to ponder during and after this worship experience:
1. Could you see yourself worshiping here?
2. What is it that you would like to learn more about?
3. Is that a place you could see yourself joining?  Why? Why not?

I will lead the blind
by a road they do not know,
by paths they have not known
I will guide them.
I will turn the darkness before them into light,
the rough places into level ground.
These are the things I will do,
and I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16

This is New Beginnings 2.0 guiding

Food Pantry Updates!

The EGPC food pantry continues to serve our community and our volunteers remain faithful in their service to us. We are committed to adhering to all precautionary measures to ensure no cross-contamination with clients. The Food Pantry Donation drop box always seems to be filled. As you check on your neighbors, please share with them that our food pantry is open and ready to help anyone who needs food!

Food continues to appear in our food box.  Almost daily there is something donated and many times from people we don’t even know! I want to send a special thanks to all those faithful shoppers who each week pick up the special things we need. It is an ongoing blessing to be so graciously supported by your donations and donations from our community.

Thank you!

Thank you faithful friends and members of
