Ephesians 1: 17-19
“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation that makes God known to you. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart will have enough light to see what is the hope of God’s call, what is the richness of God’s glorious inheritance among believers, 19 and what is the overwhelming greatness of God’s power that is working among us believers.”
My heart is still celebrating over my installation on January 19th as your permanent pastor. Thank you to everyone who was part of the planning, preparation and those who were able to witness this service. And thank you for the lovely stole pictured above, I love the colors and the images of buildings and churches. It is a perfect symbol of what is ahead for us and we reach out and find new ways to be good neighbors!
Beyond the actual event, my installation means we are now committed to each other, bonded together as one body of Christ and I am excited about what is ahead for us. Rev. Nancy Dolan, a dear friend, preached on the Ephesians passage written above and I have continued to reflect on verse 19 about having enough light to see the hope of God’s call. Without a doubt we have enough light to move forward with confidence, trusting that we are on the right path…a path well-lit by the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for believing in my call to be your pastor!
